As a kid, I remember my grandmother, shushing us as she strained to hear her neighbors’ phone conversations. She had a party line, a curious telephony invention that lingered throughout rural communities. Back then, one of the surest ways to get the word out was to pick up the phone and let anyone near hear what you had to say.
Today, we have a driving need to get the word out about advances in renewable energy and cleantech. Ensuring that more people learn about new products also ensures the faster adoption of these vital innovations.
That is the goal for AcclimateUs. To speed cleantech adoption. Today, we provide online consulting to cleantech companies, financiers and people who are tasked with promoting renewable energy and sustainable technologies to their communities (e.g. city officials providing government-funded energy conservation/efficiency programs to businesses and home owners). We’re also developing online tools to make it easier for new clean energy products to reach the buyers that need them.
So everyday, we make it our business to know who’s buying, selling, financing or launching new products. CleanTech Talk subjects are inspired by this daily news as well as tracking the activity of our members and nearly 10,000 other acclimatists out there. See more at http://www.acclimateus.com.
Carol Schmitt, a 20+ year serial high-tech start-up entrepreneur, founded AcclimateUs in 2008. She carries the responsibility for this blog’s content and interaction.
Carol’s Philosophy: “Be nimble. Think big. Always deliver.” And while you’re at it, do a bit of hiking to a mountain peak or in a wooded valley. Or spend time with kids. Each will keep you young and focused on the right priorities. And that’s something your grandmother would be proud of too.
Can you give me more details on your startup?
